The center of camp where cats may converse, share tongues, etc. It is open to the elements, but lies in the frigid mountains, making it harder for other Clans to handle the weather and terrain.
Heronfeather entered camp, three mice dangling from her jaws. She glared around suspiciously, stalking to lay her mice down beside the fresh-kill pile. She straightened up, her icy blue eyes piercing the soul of any cat who looked her way, before settling down and dragging a mouse off the pile of prey. She chewed slowly as cats hurried past, and a pang of loneliness struck her heart.

Amber eyes watched from a distance as Frostfang entered camp. The border had been clear, his patrol rather successful. As he entered, Frostfang caught sight of Heronfeather scanning her icy gaze in a suspicious, seemingly aggressive manner over the camp. What's this she-cat glaringfor? Frostfang smirked and prowled over to the fresh-kill pile, blazing eyes fixed on the mice remaining. "These mice appear to be rather..." He paused before nudging a mouse with his large silver paw. "...meager." Frostfang let out an exasperated sigh, shifting his fiery gaze to Heronfeather. "Perhaps another hunting trip will suffice." A treacherous yet challenging smile spread across his face. "Maybe it will help with your mood," he continued, voice dripping with a lazily sarcastic edge. "A plump fish, perhaps?" He swished his tail once as he turned to leave.
Brightstar's ears were swiveled toward the conversation between deputy and warrior, and while she would argue over Frostfang's tone, she realized he wasn't wrong. With the season being so bountiful to the Clan, it was necessary that they stocked up on as much prey as possible. Her lean figure cast a long shadow over the ground as she moved toward them, and a purr rumbled in her throat. "Frostfang, why don't you accompany Heronfeather on this hunting trip? It should double our prey intake, since you're such a talented hunter." She kept her head high, and her eyes cast downward on the other two cats. "You might show her a few of your moves to help her improve."
Whitefish, after finishing training her new apprentice, Mintpaw, trots over to Brightstar. "Hey Brightstar," she purred, dipping her head. "Care to join me? I'm headed to the Great River for some hunting."
The leader took a moment to go over what duties she had for the day, and eventually nodded. She flicked Frostfang with her tail, turning to him again. "I'd still like for you and Heronfeather to go hunting together, it would be useful to the Clan if we collected as much prey as possible." She brushed past Whitefish, motioning for her to follow.
Heronfeather looked up in suprise when Frostfang approached her. She let out a long, low warning hiss and shifted farther. Brightstar suggested they go hunting toghether and Heronfeather spluttered. "Him- teach- me-me?" She gasped indignantly. She shook out her pelt. Fine, but only because Brightstar wanted her to! She would never go with this arrogant tom alone! She stood up.

Sweetfern padded out from the Nursery tunnel, her light aqua orbs traversing the scene of tension. The caught Brightstar and Whitefish as they were leaving, as she waved her smokey plume of a tail in farewell. Her gaze soon turned and fixed upon the duo of Heronfeather and Frostfang, her heart tightening a bit at the looks crossing the features of her clanmates. Everything was already so tense everywhere, she worried deeply for her Clanmates, especially in the age they had all hrown in. It seemed to her that she watched them harden before her very eyes. It was nothing short of tumultuous to the queen's tender heart, and she ached for those around her. She sighed softly and curled her tail around her plush white paws, enjoying the fragmented sun of the clearing on her fur as she took a break from the nursery. She offered a small smile to the warrior and deputy, nodding her farewell and wishing them prosperous hunting. StarClan knew they always needed it.
Dapplesky walked slowly out of her den and looked around the clearing. She smiled, seeing that the warriors were up and already at work. Her eyes eventually landed on Sweetfern. The medicine cat instantly started walking towards the queen to see how she was doing. "Hello Sweetfern! How are you?" She sat next to the queen and spoke with a cheerful voice.

Sweetfern raised her head and spotted her sister approaching, a purr rising in her chest as she dipped her head happily to the medicine cat. "Hello Dapplesky! I'm a tad tired; lookin after the little ones certainly does take its toll... But they're sleeping peacefully now so I thought I'd come out and get some sunshine and check on the Clan! How are you?" She asked with a soft warm purr, her blue eyes blinking drowsily as she partially lounged in the sun, her attentions fixed on the lovely medicine cat.
"I'm doing fine. I was thinking of going out later today to look for herbs. I really feel like today I might find some." Her eyes seemed to be full of hope. Dapplesky had been struggling to stock her medicine den lately. The territory seemed bare of prey and herbs alike. Only a nervous twitch of her tail gave away her worry. She smiled at her sister and changed the subject. ""Are kits doing alright?"

Sweetfern narrowed her eyes in sympathy, touching her smokey tail to the medicine cat's shoulder. "We'll find some before winter Dapplesky. I know we will. StarClan would not leave us to face another winter in a row without herbs." Replied the sweet queen, her voice filled with peaceful assurance that masked an underlying worry. She probably had more faith in their ancestors than most of their Clanmates, but the loss of her last litter during the leafbare moons before had taken its toll on her. She prayed every day that StarClan would save this new litter from their sibling's fate, and the litter before them... And now with her mate gone to StarClan this would likely be her last litter. She would never reveal her fears to her sister though, knowing she held a deep guilt for being unable to save her sister's last two litters, although Sweetfern had never blamed her personally. It was never her fault that they hadn't had any herbs, and she knew she had tried her hardest. "I'll go with you. Mintpaw can watch the kits, and it'll be good to be able to dtretch my legs again." She said with a purr. In these days it was almost an unspoken rule that no one left camp alone. It was too dangerous and even medicine cats had been lost before in the heat of rivalries. "The kits are doing very well! They're all sleeping peacefully and seem very healthy, thanks to you."
The words of support brought warmth to Dapplesky's heart. This litter was the future of Iceclan, and Dapplesky wouldn't let anything happen to them. She purred a little in response. "Starclan has blessed us with a very healthy litter. I just helped." The medicine cat chuckled. "I can see them being a handful soon, running around and finding trouble."

Bluepaw studied the scene carefully from his mentor's side. He knew that at any moment,a skirmish might occur; a bout might be had over something trivial, such as words, bitterness, or perhaps even rationing. At that point, he would demonstrate everything Otterpelt taught him this far. Though so far, he felt a bit...sleepy. He did his best to stay awake and vigilant, but it was all for naught once they eventually fluttered shut.
Brightstar padded back in, her face twisted in strain as the marmot on hers and Whitefish's back seemed to grow heavier and heavier. She quickened her pace, dropping it at the fresh-kill pile and letting out a sigh of relief.
"Offer the mice to Sweetfern and Dapplesky," she told the warrior, glancing around for Frostfang and Heronfeather. Had they still not returned? Her eyes glazed with slight worry, but she kept a calm expression and stature. "I'm sure they're hungry." She finally continued.
