Stonestar loped through the twisting tunnels that lead to the heart of the crater, his large paws thudding on the smooth solid ground and his tail twitching in expectation. His blue-gray ears were pricked straight ahead, and his whiskers helped guide him through the dark corridors as he lead StormClan to the Gathering. Finally a brief flash of pale moonlight met his silver iridescent orbs, and his muscular frame came to a halt just within the clearing, his senses bathed in the cool fresh air of moonhigh. He took a moment to drink in the sight of the spacious clearing of the crater, the wall rising high around it in a near perfect circle. The ground sloped down along with a path of ancient pawmarks worn into the rock, before it stopped at the remnant of that heavenly rock, the meteor in the center where he was soon to take his place. Stonestar glanced back to check his Clan was close on his paws, before he turned and bounded down into the clearing. StormClan had arrived,
Yellow eyes appeared in the shadows outside the crater. After a few cautious glances, Blazestar stepped into the moonlight with Fireclan. He padded down the slope slowly, making sure not to trip as he used to as an apprentice. He saw that Stormclan was already there with Stonestar leading them. The tom gave a respectful nod to his fellow leader. Now we wait for Iceclan, as usual. Of all the clans, Fireclan and Iceclan got along the least. They had more differences than they cared to admit. The real trouble will be between Stormclan and Iceclan. I've heard of some border skirmishes between them. I just hope we can stay out of it. Blazestar gracefully leaped onto the meteor and sat facing his clan. Seeing them here made him feel a little better about the gathering.
Brightstar padded with her head and tail held high as she lead her clan-mates down from their cool mountainous territory into the much warmer forested area that held the crater made by the meteor that had fell from the sky generations ago. The Iceclan leader paused at the edge of the crater her thick, well kept coat, shinning in the moonlight as her sharp blue gaze took in the clearing below. Her ears flicked when she noticed they were not the first clan to arrive for the gathering. Instinctively her claws slid out and scraped against the ground as she briefly watched the forms of cats move about below knowing it had to be the bulky warriors and apprentices of Stormclan even before their stench reached her. Her gaze also took in the lithe forms of Fireclan as well. Last clan to arrive then...
The lynx-pointed bengal took a deep breath and kept her head held high as she gracefully made her way down into the moonlit clearing with her clan-mates close on her paws. Once she reached the bottom her gaze traveled down the slight slope of the paw worn ground that lead to the meteor that she would soon be taking her place upon. She waited for her clan-mates to catch up before beginning to make her way farther into the clearing casting a wary glance towards the Stormclan cats.
As the shinning pelts of her clan joined her, Iceclan had indeed arrived.

RyeLeaf followed the lead of FireClan leader, BlazeStar. She was a short build feline, but walked as tall as skyclan. Her chest was bulked out, and she kept her head up. On occasion, her gentle eyes would glance down at her apprentice, who was also blessed with her to attend the gathering. She made sure he too, looked strong and healthy. She was proud of the young apprentice, for it was his first gathering, and she hoped he would be honored to attend one with his own apprentice one day.
As her eyes met Storm Clan she nodded respectively to the cats, but kept her strong composure. She knew she had to teach her apprentice how to act at the gatherings. Quiet, respectful, and strong. The most basic, yet powerful things a cat could do. When her leader hopped upon her meteor, the young feline sat at the base, her tail properly wrapping around her paws.
Sagepool Following the leader or FireClan into the gathering her ears pricked forward as she listened to the others before sitting in line with the other fellow clan mate her sleek body moving easily. Sitting down beside Hawkdawn she looked around at the others though she remained calm for show as she looked at the other clans though they were still waiting for Iceclan to arrive she nodded her head to the others in respect. This brought delight to her, she had heard stories but never had the pleasure of being invited.
Cinderpaw bounded in excitedly after stonestar, his eyes wide as he took in the scene of the gathering place. He was ever so slightly disappointed the other clans had yet to arrive but it didn't take long before the wiry fireclan cats were making their appearance. As they waited for iceclan he padded closer to the fireclan cats his curiosity getting the better of him, it wasn't as if he had made friends with any of the other clan cats but he did find them interesting to say the least. Granted he knew one day he may end up eventually fighting a few of them, he still found no harm in socializing for now if he could. The gathering was, after all, a time of peace. The dark colored tom flicked his tail and looked over as iceclan cats started filling the clearing. He looked back to the stormclan cats wonderig where darkpaw was and what she thought so far. He was tempted to speak to someone from one of the other clans just because he could but wasn't so sure his mentor would approve. His eyes skimmed the stormclan cats for a moment searching for pantherclaw before he shrugged, unable to find her, and padded over to the nearest cat. "Hi!" He said, a little too enthusiastically to sagepool, "You're a fireclan cat right?" He asked before scenting the air, "You smell like a fireclan cat at least." He blurted before widening his eyes, "I'm sorry if I got that wrong!" He said not wanting to offend her and get into trouble if she were an iceclan cat and attacked him for the comment.

Stonestar padded through the clearing, his sleek blue-gray pelt bathed in milky light just like everything around him as his silver eyes scanned across the rapidly-filling clearing, his ears and tail tip twitching in anticipation and his muscles taut with tension. He stuck mainly by StormClan, but pricked his ears at the entrance of Blazestar and Brightstar.
With a knowing nod to Doveflight and a stern glance over his Clan, he turned and padded towards the meteor, his heart still pounding and body alive from their battle training right before the Gathering.
The great tom picked up some speed , his massive paws slipping into the pawprints of the ancestors as he bounded down the clearing, and collected himself just before the meteor, pushing off of the stoney ground and leaping in a powerful arch, to land squarely on top of the meteor. He flicked his long tail dismissively and turned to face the other two leaders, his broad head dipping with a strained form of respect to the ticked ginger tom and lynx-point she-cat. "Blazestar, Brightstar... It is good to see you again." He began with a deep rumble, his sterling silver eyes flashing like the moonlight they were all bathed in.
Sandflower padded in behind her Clanmates as FireClan entered the clearing, her ears pricking excitedly at the prospect of seeing the Clans and other medicine cats again. Under the pale full moon her light ginger coat turned to white and her aqua gaze paled, frosting her over in moonlight as she noted a similar effect upon all the other assembled cats. It never ceased to amaze her, the great numbers of the Clan cats assorted throughout the clearing. She felt an almost sort of guilty glee at the prospect of the Gathering. Unlike the rest of her Clanmates, she was allowed greater freedom to be friendly with the other Clans, without the constant strain of rivalry and distrust that the Warrior Life brought the others. In this way, Medicine cats almost had a better time at Gatherings than any of the others. So while her glee was great, it was marred by a form of guilt that the others couldn't be equally as carefree.
Sagepool looked at the young spunky little tom, a small smile fell upon her lips as she looked at him listening when he spoke to her. "That I am, and you smell like a Stormclan warrior." she replied smiling as she gave the lil at a higher title than what she knew he was then again it was sage and she was usually a nice cat unless you caught her on an off day or p'ved her off but when she was around young ones there was something inside her that made her happy maybe it was that mothering instinct. "I am Sagepool. Who are you?" She asked blue eyes gazing at the dark tom. She made a mental note about him for future referance if ever they were to battle.
Cinderpaw nodded to her remark on him being a stormclan cat though he felt the need to correct her, "Oh, I'm not a warrior yet but I will be soon!" He said, the thought of getting his warrior name added to his excitement. He flicked an ear knowing his eyes were probably bright blue against his darker pelt because of the excitement of speaking to a fireclan cat for the first time. He had only ever heard stories of them, scents on the border, nursery tales... things like that. His ears twitched at the name, not remembering any stories of her which he thought a good thing. "I'm Cinderpaw." He said with a small dip of his head. He was tempted to ask if it were true that fireclan cats could survive fire but found it a kit thing to ask so he held his tounge. His eyes glanced back over to the stormclan cats before he looked back to sagepool and the she-cat sagepool was sitting beside. "What type of prey do you catch?" He asked, suddenly curious as to if theirs was different than the frogs and mice he frequently caught. He knew it was a mouse-brained question but he couldn't figure out what else to ask her without possibly getting into too much trouble. He didn't want to bring up his training or anything so he figured the safest topic was prey.
Darkpaw bounded after Stonestar towards the back of her clan-mates. She gazed around curiously once they reached the clearing and the other clans joined them. The dark brown appreintce settled in with her clan, she was curious about the other clans but not curious enough to actually go and socialize just yet. Her aqua gaze roamed over the cats gather searching for one particular cat. Now where did Cinderpaw run off to? She thought curiously to her self when she didn't see the fluffy tailed grey tom among their clan-mates. When she at last spotted her fellow apprentice she tilted her head when she noticed he was speaking to a Fireclan she-cat. She flicked her tail tempted to join him but unsure if she really should so she decided to sit and watch from a distance first, though she was just an apprentice the tensions we already obvious to her. I hope everything goes well tonight...
_____________________________________________________________ Dusttail padded down the slope directly behind Blazestar in her usual place as deputy. Her lithe form took the walk down the slope with ease as she padded quietly among her clan-mates. Once they reached the paw worn floor of the crater and she sloped decreased a bit she fell back amongst her clan-mates as Blazestar headed for the meteor, she would take her place with the other deputies once the gathering officially started till then her light green gaze traveled around watching the cats of the other clans carefully. Though it was a gathering there was no telling what could happen, but so far everything seemed okay. Though all that could easily change while the leaders make their announcements... She sighed wishing she could have the excitement she once had as an apprentice but as the moons went on it slowly slipped away. With a flick of her tail she padded across the moonlit ground to her usual post closer to the bottom of the meteor which the leaders were perched upon, her usually sandy brown pelt washed even paler than usual.
Doveflight sat towards the middle of Stormclan, that way she could keep an she on everyone. When Iceclan entered, her ears stood straight up and she watched them carefully. She could only hope that no one would do anything rash tonight. The deputy sat tall and waited for the leaders to begin. ------------------------------------- With a smile, Dapplesky walked into the clearing. She took dainty steps down the crater's side and found her clan's spot. The medicine cat looked around the moonlit clearing for the other medicine cats. She found Sandflower and happily trotted over to her. "Sandflower! How are you?" Her voice was light and friendly, unlike the tone of the other warriors at the meeting. Dapplesky felt no bodily towards her fellow medicine cats. She held them in much respect. ------------------------------------- A small apprentice came in with Fireclan. She looked overwhelmed add she stared at everyone in the clearing. Sorrelpaw was at her first gathering. She followed Blazestar to the huge rock in the pit. Sorrelpaw never been imagined that the meteor was so large. She sat with her clan, looking around with wide eyes at all the cats. ------------------------------------- Blazestar dipped his head respectfully to the other leaders. "It is nice to see you too." He was going to try to keep things cool if possible. His concern was that Brightstar's sharp tongue and Stonestar's stubbornness would collide tonight.
Flamepaw followed Blazestar eagerly, grinning to Ryeleaf as they headed towards the gathering. He was thrilled to be able to attend his first gathering, knowing this was a great honour. He wasn't quite sure what to expect, only hearing tales from other apprentices before him and occasionally a warrior. The apprentice tried to remain serious and collected, but couldn't help glancing around frantically, taking in all the new scents and smells this new terrain had to offer. It was as if he could feel his ancestors paw steps under his own, leading him and cheering the fiery tom down the slopes as they headed to the gathering.
As Fireclan bounded into the clearing, the wide-eyed tom gasped, the moon-bathed clearing amazing him, along with the sight of Stormclan cats. Their new scent slammed into him, a more murky and wetland smell coating their bodies, contrasting with the sleek Fireclan sandy smell. He wanted to introduce himself, just take in this new opportunity for all it's glory. However, he was unsure how that would go over with his leader or mentor. Flamepaw took in the beauty of the meteor, not quite sure to what it was, and curious to ask one of his clan-mates.
Flamepaw sat tall as they awaited Iceclan, curious to see the clan that could live through snow for so long. He was so used to heat and warmth, and knew he wouldn't be able to live in any cold. Glancing around, the tom noticed a few other apprentices, longing to introduce himself and discover what they hunted in Stormclan and played with their friends. Looking cautiously to his mentor, he padded quietly the short distance to where Sagepool sat, chatting with a Stormclan apprentice. He felt this might be a safer place to start as his fellow clan-mate was already chatting with him.
Dipping his head to Sagepool, he sat smiling to the other tom, excitement bubbling through him at this new experience. "Hello Sagepool!" he chirped, folding his stripped tail over his paws before looking to the tom "Hello, my name is Flamepaw, whats yours?" he asked, his curious nature taking over him. Before the Stormclan apprentice could respond, Flamepaw flicked his ears, glancing over to the entrance where the Iceclan members bounded in. Their fluffier, lighter pelts contrasted with those of Fireclan's, who were sleek and bright.
Featherpaw bolted forward with her clan-mates, nervous of her first gathering, but also honoured at the opportunity. She glanced to her mentor Olivetail who strutted beside her, longing to ask him what happened in gatherings, but knowing he could be tense for seeing Stormclan. The she had never seen another Stormclan cat, other than smelling their scents at the boarder patrol she attended. She was curious to see them for herself, and secretly wanted to chat with an apprentice, but knowing that would not go over her mentor well.
As they headed in, the bengal she's grey eyes widened, taking in her surroundings with a pounding chest, noticing they were the last to arrive. Her dull eyes scanned over to a group of what smelled like Fireclan and Stormclan, noticing two apprentices and a warrior talk calmly. She also saw another she apprentice, who looked like Stormclan, sit along with her clan. She stuck alongside Olivetail as they gathered by a great rock where the leaders perched. Sitting tall, she glanced to her mentor, hoping for any wise words before the leaders started. She was terribly nervous, even though she wouldn't be doing anything but listen.
Brackenstripe trotted after Stonestar patiently, his paws falling not a step behind his leader as they made their way to the gathering, his whiskers brushing the sides of the dark corriders, guiding him. He emerged with expectation into the crater, and followed Stonestar to the middle of the clearing, where he stopped next to Sandtail, a fellow medicine cat. He dipped his head in greeting.

Stonestar twitched his whiskers slightly, noting the frigid stance of Brightstar as she ignored his greeting. He turned cooly instead to Blazestar and nodded to his fiery-pelted counterpart. "How fares FireClan? Are you still dealing with your coyote problem?" He asked in a conversational tone, one dark ear pointed towards the FireClan leader, and the other held off to the side to keep a track of sorts upon those mingling at the Gathering. He didn't truly approve of StormClan mingling too much with the fellow Clans, but he had decided to give them their time to associate before the usual tenseness overtook the clearing, as always seemed to be the case. He had a feeling that tonight, however, would be worse. He had already spoken to Doveflight about making sure that StormClan seperated by the time the Gathering truly began. Tonight would reveal quite a lot.
Sandflower heard the voice of Dapplesky calling to her, and turned her head in expectant joy to see her dappled counterpart. The young medicine cat rushed forward to touch noses with the fluffy IceClan medicine cat, her own wiry frame vibrating with warm purrs. "Dapplesky! I feel as though it's been a moon!" She joked with a gleam to her aqua eyes. "I have been very well! It has been an eventful season, but FireClan in general has done well, which means I am doing well." She chuckled happily. "And how about yourself!? Still no apprentice I see." She said with a sympathetic smile.
Her attention was pulled away as Brackenstripe emerged from the wash of shadows and moonlight, and she purred happily. "Brackenstripe! I am glad to see you in good health! How is StormClan this Greenleaf?" She asked with kind intent. She always enjoyed this part of Gatherings tremendously, being able to meet with the other medicine cats and catch up, even if only briefly.
